著名科學家愛因斯坦和幽默大師卓別林可說是上個世紀最有名的人之二。
The scientist Albert Einstein and the entertainer Charlie Chaplin were two of the most famous individuals of the last century.

在1930年的一個會議中，兩人見了面，並互相寒暄一下：
In a meeting between them in the 1930s, they exchanged the following words:

愛因斯坦說：「我很欽佩你藝術普遍性，你不用說任何一個字，大家就能了解你。」

Einstein: "What I most admire about your art, is your universality. You don’t say a word, yet the world understands you!"

卓別林則回道：「這是真的。但你更棒！全世界都欽佩你，即使他們不懂你說的任何一個字。」
Chaplin: "True. But your glory is even greater! The whole world admires you, even though they don’t understand a word of what you say."

「你的態度猶如一盒為世界上色的蠟筆，經常使用灰色，你的人生將永遠看來暗淡無光，試圖透過幽默加上一些鮮明的色彩，你的人生將明亮起來。」
